SU SWAP Night - Anti-Valentine's Night Party

This week during the SWAP Programme we are having a special 'Anti-Valentine’s Night' party. During this social night we will have random games, fun challenges and lots of speed friending. So come along whether you're single, in a relationship, or 'it's complicated', treat yourselves to an evening of student fun -Register here! 




Charity Walking Challenge / DBS to Bundoran (8th February - 17th March)

Our Charity Challenge runs for 6 exciting weeks and looks to take you along a 225km journey from DBS to the Wild Atlantic Way. Get your steps in each day for Focus Ireland and to keep fit too. Tuesday:

Energy Boosting Morning Workout with Coach John Sullivan / Live from 8am
Our Keep Fit Programme resumes this week and for the remainder of semester 2, to help you beat the fatigue of lockdown! Join our keep fit community every Tues & Thurs morning at 8am, for a 45 minute power blast to kick-start a day of productivity. Valentines Date Night with Denver (7pm)

Join DBS’s most suave gentlemen this Tuesday for a romantic night that you will never forget. This years most eligible (SU) bachelors, Denver, Vini and Evan, will be showering you in their most cringey, cheesy and amusing pickup lines on the Instagram Live from 7pm. Get your wine, we will bring the cheese and standby to be swept off your feet / Supporting FOCUS Ireland.




Vodafone Summer Internship Talk (Wed Feb 10th / 2:30-3:30pm)

Join Vodafone Ireland to hear about their internship opportunities this summer. This is a great opportunity that will allow you to give your early career the best possible start! Suitable for students across a range of disciplines -Register here!

Peer Assisted Learning (PAL Sessions) 4-6pm

What are PAL Workshops? - Join here during the time!

This is a student to student support network, led by senior students who have gone through similar programmes and look to provide advice and support to other students throughout DBS.

Weekly Clinics with the SESU Team / Wednesday from 3pm - Register here!

The SESU Team runs weekly clinics for all students to drop in to. These cover advice on moodle, academic writing, and everything you need to succeed at DBS. So grab a hot drink, click this link and connect with the SESU Team from 3pm on Wednesdays or Fridays.

Join the SU team this Wednesday for their Valentines Games Night! Get ready for a fun filled night with loads of other students from across the college, and yes everyone's welcome! SU Social Night at the Movies: Ferris Bueller's Day Off (from 8pm)

Yes, yes, yes! Thursday nights at the movies are BACK (well, kind of!).Join the Student Experience Team for a streaming of the 1980's classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off. We will have a special pre-theatre show from 8-8:30pm and the movie starts at 8:30pm sharp. There will be open discussions available after the event too for all you cult hero's -click here to sign up for this CLASSIC!





HSE Trainee Accountant Programme Talk (Thurs Feb 11th / 2:30-3:30pm)

A representative from the HSE will be available to discuss their Trainee Accountant Programme with the students of DBS. This session will cover the application process, eligibility and everything you need prior to sending your CV in -Register here!

DBS Mr. & Mrs. Valentines Night Special (Live from 7pm)

Have you got the Lockdown Blues? Need some company this Friday night? Well DBS has got you covered! This Friday, love will be in the air. We will be pairing up some(un)lucky students as ‘pretend’ couples, by random selection on the night. Couples will answer a series of fun and random questions in the spirit of the much loved game of Mr. & Mrs.. You will face challenges together, to be crowned ‘The Couple of RAG Week’. It will be a night of nonsense, laughs and most importantly, romance…. So don’t miss out! See you there. BYOB is of course encouraged -Click here to sign up.

The Library Team provides a number of high quality, online learner supports to the students of DBS each week. These workshops are free and invaluable to students who want to maximise their learning. Online classes include Harvard referencing, preparing for online exams, mastering your assignments, and getting practical support on your research methodology.
