December 30th 2020- Ireland Moving to Level 5 Covid-19 Restrictions- DBS Student Impact

Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases over the Christmas period Ireland has moved to Level 5 restrictions from midnight 30th December until at least 31st January. 

  • Higher Education Institutions are not effected by the delayed reopening of schools- if you have exams or classes scheduled for next week- these will proceed as per your timetable.

  • You are allowed to travel outside the 5 KM from home for education or work purposes.
  •  
  • There is no restriction on arrival into Ireland for students (except arrival from the UK)- you must observe the 14 day self restriction and other protocols as previously advised.

Activity

Visits to your home or garden- No visitors allowed- except for essential family reasons or those in your support bubble

Domestic travel- stay at home except for travel for work or college, or to take exercise within 5Km of your home

Retail- Essential retail only from close of business on 31st Dec

Work- Work from home unless working in essential health, social care or other essential service- your employer will advise
