What's on next week? Student Awards Week

by Adam Crowther | Apr 16, 2021
Hi all,

This week is the 'Student Awards Week' at DBS, and it is my favourite time of the Academic Year. Throughout this week we will look back at all the great work and remarkable achievements of our students and staff. I am always so proud to look back and remember all the great things that we have done together, and I want to thank everyone for all their contributions to our college experience at DBS.

Our ‘Above & Beyond’ and ‘Making A Difference’ categories are filled with people who have worked tirelessly to make our college a great place to study and work within. Similarly, the ‘Zoom Awards 2021’ is a new addition to our Awards categories, that I am sure you will all enjoy too.

Thank you to those who voted for this year’s Awards and good luck everyone who has been shortlisted.

See you Friday night from 7:30pm. We hope you enjoy the show!

Recommendation from Sergio Augusto, MSc in Digital Marketing
  • Book: Call Me By Your Name, André Aciman
  • Podcast: I don't listen to many podcasts in English, but I would highly recommend albums to listen to, like Lemonade by Beyoncé, Plastic Hearts by Miley Cyrus and Fever Dream by Of Monsters and Men.
  • TV Show: Grey's Anatomy
  • Helpful app: Sleep Cycle
  • Study Snack: Dark chocolate with hazelnut or banana with peanut butter

Putting “Me Time” into your schedule:
The exams period is always a hectic period and many of us are so focused on doing it all that we forget to carve out time for ourselves. Ensuring your own health and happiness is critical during this time. So give yourself permission to take care of yourself — now. Read more here!
