Job Fairy alert - NiteLine is Recruiting Students for the 2021/22 Academic Year

by Adam Crowther | Apr 21, 2021

Dear Students of DBS,

We are delighted to announce that NiteLine, who are the official late-night listening services for the students across Dublin, are recruiting students for the year ahead.

This job opportunity is a great chance for our students to gain experience and work within an important service provider.

This is open to all students, but may be of particular interest to our Psychology, Counselling, Arts and Humanities-based students.

Read below for all of the information you need to know or register your interest by clicking here.

Good luck!

NiteLine provides excellent opportunities for students to gain skills such as communication and time management, as well as helping the general student population in DBS. So far this year, we have taken 1,378 contacts from students on topics such as college, mental health, loneliness and relationships. Without our volunteers from your college, we would not be able to keep our service open 7 nights a week throughout the academic year.

Niteline are keen to connect and recruit new volunteers from Dublin Business School. If you are interested in building your experience and making a difference to students across Ireland, check out the information below.

NiteLine is Recruiting!

NiteLine is a student-run listening and information service for students of DBS, MU, NCAD, RCSI, TCD, TUD and UCD.

We are a confidential, anonymous, non-judgmental and non-directive service, and we're open every night of term.

It's ok to talk - and we're here to listen

What sort of issues does NiteLine deal with?

We take calls about everything that college students deal with - loneliness, exam stress, men's mental health and so on. At NiteLine we always say: no problem is too big or too small!

Who can volunteer with NiteLine?

NiteLine volunteers come from every college, course and country you can think of. NiteLine is a diverse community where any student from our affiliate colleges is welcome.

How can I volunteer?

First, make sure you fill out our expression of interest form below! We hold interviews during the summer to make sure NiteLine is the right fit for you. Volunteers receive extensive training, and learn new skills such as active listening, as well as meeting loads of new people.
