Attention all first year students!
We have plenty of exciting activities and events happening over the next couple of weeks at DBS, that we don't want you to miss out on! So, we’ve put this little list of events together to make sure you are aware of each of our events over the coming weeks. Especially don’t miss out on Bundoran Weekend, which is filled with unforgettable student craic! Remember, these events are only live once so grab your tickets while you can!

Coffee and Craic - Every week
Join the Students’ Union for a relaxed morning of tea, coffee and chats to make some new friends, have some laughs and ease into the back to college lifestyle.
Networking Night - September 19th
Are you ready to embark on an unforgettable journey of connections, laughter, and friendships? Join us for an electrifying evening that will turbocharge your social life and set your college experience on fire! This is a fantastic first event to get yourself immersed in the college environment. Get ready for exciting games, activities, music and prizes!
Welcome Party-21st September
It's the perfect opportunity to unwind, socialise, and make new friends. Whether you're a new student looking to meet new people or a final year student trying to savour your last year, this event is for you.
Enjoy great music, drinks, and an atmosphere exclusive to DBS students. Don't miss out on this unforgettable night of camaraderie and fun.
Glendalough Hike-23rd September
If you need a break from the busy start of the college year and are looking for the perfect opportunity to meet new people, we know just the place to relax and unwind. Wicklow Mountains National Park is a natural oasis just a stone’s throw from Dublin, making it an ideal getaway from Ireland’s capital. At the south end of the park lies the spell-binding settlement called Glendalough. It is approximately a 10-12 km hike.
Monochrome Party-25th September
This unique event is the ultimate college pre-party followed by an epic after-party at the iconic BAD BOBS venue in Temple Bar.
Choose a single colour and dress yourself in it from head to toe. Whether you go for a classic all black look or an illuminous orange, it will be a night to remember.
BYOB Bowling - 27th September
Grab your friends, your wildest, craziest and funkiest hat and your favourite beverages because it's time to roll into a memorable evening of bowling and fun. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or just looking for a good time, this event is for everyone.
Bring your own beer, wine, or soft drinks, and we'll provide the lanes, shoes, and all the excitement. Enjoy the thrill of knocking down pins, engaging in friendly competition, and making new friends.
Bundoran Surf Trip-29th September - 1st October
Join the Student Experience Team for our legendary Surf Weekend to Bundoran, Donegal. Your weekend includes accommodation, surf lessons, transportation and really fun activities. It is a weekend of surfing, making friends and many fun activities you won’t want to miss.
Howth Hike via Sutton - 7th Oct
This trip gives students the opportunity to get out of the city, and explore some sights, while making some new friends too. Our hike takes around two and a half hours to complete and includes some breathtaking views, and plenty of local wildlife too. This trip will bring our students on an alternative exploration of this iconic walk, which will bring us to the charming harbour at the end of the hike.
GoKarting-9th October
Join us on the track for heart-pounding racing action, where you'll compete head-to-head against your classmates and friends. Whether you're a seasoned racer or a complete novice, our Go Karting event caters to all skill levels. Strap on your helmet, buckle up, and prepare to feel the rush of adrenaline as you unleash your inner race champion.
Roller Disco - 16th October
Step back in time and put on your roller skates for an unforgettable experience. Playing classic hits from the 70s and modern day chart toppers this disco is bound to bring out the disco diva in everyone! If you’re a pro skater or a beginner don’t miss out on this unique disco inferno experience!
