World Mental Health Day Talk- Tracey McCann

by Shane Mooney | Oct 22, 2018

For World Mental Health Day on October 10th we were delighted to welcome one of our past pupils and best-selling author of the book “Recommenced”, Tracey McCann, back to DBS.
Tracey suffered a life threatening illness when she was 8 years old. She survived, and through her own strength and an incredible support structure, overcame her disabilities to graduate with a Diploma in Psychology two years ago.

She has never allowed her physical disabilities to prevent her from achieving her goals. Tracey’s words resonated with our students and staff members alike, the message to take home being: you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it.

Tracey has now published an inspirational book, Motivation > Limitation, which tells her story and how she has overcome massive odds to succeed. This is a lesson in resilience and never giving up. Signed copies of the book are available to purchase at a special DBS discounted price of €15 from the Careers Hub in Aungier Street.
