  1. To request a Parchment 

  2. To request a Personal Mitigating Circumstances form 

  3. To request an Assignment extension form  

  4. To request - GNIB Extension Letter, GNIB Renewal Letter, 1G Graduate scheme visa letter or Embassy Letter 

Visit the Helpdesk Portal (via the Helpdesk tile on students.dbs.ie/dashboard)

Requesting a letter: 

To request a letter students must:

  1. Log into your student account. Please click Here

  2. Select Helpdesk

  3. Click the “My query is not on the list” button

  4. Support Case Type: Request

  5. Category: Letter Requests

  6. Sub-category: Select the letter you require 

  7. Summary and Additional Information: Please include all relevant information for your request 

  8. Files: Upload any files if required

  9. Send Form: After sending form a case number will be provided 


Via DBS Student Dashboard (Self Service)

The following letters are requested via the DBS student dashboard:

  • Bank Letter

  • PPSN Letter

  • Employer Letter

  • Social Welfare Letter 

  • General Reference Letter

These letters are automatically generated to all students and sent directly to their student accounts within minutes.

Please follow these steps to generate the letter: 

  1. Go to https://students.dbs.ie/dashboard.

  2. Login in DBS student account.

  3. Scroll down to Self-Service and click on the logo.

  4. Click on the drop down tab and select the letter you require.

  5. Letter is automatically sent within a couple of minutes of the request.

  6. Check DBS student email, the letter will be sent as PDF as an attachment.
