From the summer of 2024, DBS official transcripts will be issued directly through Digitary CORE, a trusted international verified digital credential platform*. Digitary CORE ensures document authenticity. When transcripts, credentials, and any other documents are issued through Digitary CORE, they are verifiable, secure, and include a cryptographic signature.

Digitary CORE documents are both legally valid and tamper evident. The platform utilises advanced  cryptographic hardware and banking-level security to produce and certify digital records, compliant international legal and privacy standards. Digitary CORE utilises advanced electronic signatures which are compliant with EU Digital Signatures Directive 1999/93/EC and national enacting legislation.

Digitary CORE allows you to be in complete control over your certified credential documents. Your documents can only be accessed by people you authorise. The simple online interface enables you to share your documents with as many or as few people as you like for as long as you like. You can control and regulate access, whilst being able to see who is viewing the documents you are sharing.

Do NOT try to set up your account before receiving the email from Digitary. If you are a current student in DBS your transcript will be available through Digitary. There is no action required on your part. You will receive an email from Digitary CORE with your transcript where you can securely access it.

For more information regarding electronic documents, see FAQs on

Please note that transcripts issued to students for the first time through Digitary are free of charge. If you wish to receive a hard copy there will be a charge incurred. Please see full list of fees here

[*A small number of programmes will continue to receive transcripts in the traditional format.*]

How can I check a person’s academic documents using Digitary?

To verify a learner’s Digitary-enabled documents, the Learner needs to share them with you. The simplest way to do this is to ask the Learner to generate a ‘URL share’ – this is a unique URL that starts with “” and points to the trusted Digitary CORE portal. The URL can be emailed directly to you from the Digitary CORE portal, or the learner can send it to you directly. Always make sure that the URL starts with “”, or, for institutions still using Digitary’s older platform, starts with the URL of the issuing institution.

Please contact the Academic Operations department through the following email [email protected] for a copy of your transcript. We can only accept this request via email for GDPR reasons. Please include the following details in your email:

  • Your Full Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Student ID (if known)

  • Course Studied & Graduation Year

The fee breakdown for transcript requests can be found here. Please allow 5-7 working days for this request to be processed. Older records may take longer for us to review.  Please note that these will be issued through Digitary CORE*. We encourage all requests to be made for soft copy transcripts through Digitary CORE.
