New Features

We would like to introduce 2 new features we have for our learners, which will assist with your administrative queries or requests.


  1. Attendance data in Moodle now shows your attendance for the last 10 classes, i.e. present or absent. This can be viewed in the Student Attendance block once you are logged into Moodle (, on any of your module pages. This information is updated within a few minutes of tagging into class. 
    From now on, you must notify your lecturer before the end of class, if your attendance data for that particular class is wrong, and they can update it for you. Subsequent requests for corrections may not be entertained. 
  2. We have a new self service facility for generating letters that many students request on an ongoing basis, e.g. General reference letters, Bank Account opening letters, PPSN letters, and more. These can be found at

We hope these new features will go some way to improve your experience with us here in DBS, by eliminating wait times for letters, and giving clear information on the attendance data recorded.
