Dublin Culture Night 2021

by Adam Crowther | Sep 13, 2021

Hi everyone,

Fabricio here, your SU Wellbeing & Equality Officer. We hope you are looking forward to the start of the academic year and the phased return to our campus, which is right in the heart of the city centre. We are so fortunate to have such diverse opportunities and so many unique individuals within such close proximity to us.

In Addition to our hugely important ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’ agenda, our SU team is looking at ways to celebrate ‘Culture’ across our student body too. We think this is so important as it helps us learn about other cultures and helps us understand different perspectives within the world in which we live. It also helps dispel negative stereotypes and personal biases about different groups of people. In addition, cultural diversity helps us to recognise and respect “ways of being” that are not necessarily our own.

Did you know that this Friday (Sept 17th) is Culture Night across Dublin?

Join DBS in supporting Culture Night as it makes a welcomed return to the streets of Dublin this Friday, September 17th. This is the sixteenth edition of Culture Night Dublin and this important night reflects the diversity of Dublin city across a wide range of sectors and invites everyone, everywhere, on one joyful night to discover and celebrate not only Irish culture, but cultures from across the world. So play your part in celebrating culture across DBS and get involved in one of the wide selection of both online and offline events.

You can find the full details of this Fridays Culture Night Programme on the new Culture Night Dublin website, by clicking below.
