First few weeks

Welcome to DBS!

We hope you are settling in well here in DBS, and are getting familiar with your programme and classmates.

We understand that a number of you had a few problems at the start of your term and want to be sure all issues have been addressed to avoid any further frustrations.

If you still have any issues with access to our systems, visibility or understanding of your timetable, or anything that isn’t being addressed, can you please visit the service desk on the second floor in Castle House between 9 and 6:30pm Monday to Thursday and until 5pm on Friday, or call +353-1-4177573.

We’d ask that before doing so, you please check your DBS email (if accessible) to ensure a solution hasn’t already been sent to you.

Also, if you think your timetable is incorrect based on times, please be sure to correct the timezone in your Outlook account to the Dublin time zone.

Getting started

1 - For anyone who missed your induction, or wishes to rewatch the recording, you’ll have access to it from the induction day schedule that was sent to you from our admissions department. This will assist you with timetable queries and much more.

2 - We now contact you via your DBS email. Please check it regularly.

3 - Contact us via “Chat to DBS Now” button in Moodle, or via servicedesk.dbs.ie.

4 - Our physical service desk is located on the 2nd floor of Castle House, where you can meet our IT support team and our programme coordinators in person.

5 - Student cards are being distributed at the first on-site classes and afterwards we will contact those who weren’t present to let them know where to collect them from.
