Dear students,

The Smedias are fast approaching, and as the applications are almost open, I’m emailing to flag a few of our categories that may be of interest to your students and colleagues. Please let me know that you have received email so we can ensure that the students are receiving a fair chance at these prestigious awards!

Applications open on March 1st and close on March 24th. These are our niche categories, which means that students can receive a prize or an internship courtesy of the sponsor. These categories are opportunities for students to showcase their incredible talent at one of the biggest and longest running student awards events in Ireland. As these categories are sponsored, students have a higher chance of kick-starting their career with these organisations. Plus, winning a Smedia looks fantastic on a CV, so this would be a massive step for career-development.

The following categories are flagged, and each category is connected with its link that will take you to its specific section on the Smedias tab of the Oxygen.ie website. Just to note, the RSA and EPA awards are both applicable underneath Journalism, TV & Film, and Radio.
