The 2022 MBAAI National Strategy Competition

Save the Date: Friday, June 24th

Dear students of DBS,

We are delighted to invite your School to enter a team in the MBA Association of Ireland's National Strategy Competition 2022. This year’s event will be held in-person in Dublin (venue TBC), however due to the ongoing Covid pandemic we will accommodate any team who wish to participate virtually so as not to hinder any academic institution from participating in the competition.

We are excited to have top strategy expert Stuart Crainer of thinkers50.com on board to lead this year's event.

Stuart is a British management journalist and business theorist, and adjunct professor at IE Business School, known for his work on the history and state of the art of management theory. He is an internationally recognized expert and commentator on management thinking. He has taught in the International MBA at IE Business School and in executive education programs around the world, including the Strategic Leadership programme at Oxford University.

The annual Competition presents an opportunity for students from MBA Programmes from all over Ireland to pit their wits, skills and learning against each other in open competition. Participating teams compete to conceive and construct robust corporate strategies for a specially selected case study.

Don't miss out on:

… a uniquely exhilarating test for your students!

The competition is an unforgettable experience and challenge, set in a pressure-cooker environment – one which your students will look back on with fondness and pride.

… independent adjudication

The competition is configured to ensure the highest standards of independence in our judging.

Note: Participating schools may enter more than one team. (While academic faculty members are welcome to attend the event and presentations, they may not have any involvement with the teams of students once the competition begins.)

This year’s strategy competition takes place in-person in Dublin as well as virtually from 10.30am on Friday, 24th June 2022. Teams will spend 4 hours devising a solution, then present their strategies in the afternoon.

Application form should be submitted by 29 April, 2022.
