Ideate Ireland is a start-up competition aiming to help turn ideas into thriving international businesses
Ideate Ireland is an all-Ireland competition with the aim of recruiting a cohort of talented and ambitious student entrepreneurs, which over time can add significant value to the economy. It provides an opportunity for students to put entrepreneurship principles into practice.
Ten ideas will be selected to participate in eight online half-day workshops. A judging panel comprising leading entrepreneurs, executives, and investors will choose the winner and runners-up at the competition showcase.

Undergraduates
Post-graduates
Recent graduates
Researchers
The competition is looking for 3 things:
an individual or a team, with
an innovative product, service or technology, and
global scalability potential to achieve international sales and create employment
Prizes and benefits
There is a prize fund of €27,000 in cash and benefits:
Winner – €15,000
First runner-up – €7,000
Second runner-up - €5,000

Competition deadlines
The competition is now live and the timeline for the competition is:
08 March – Applications opened
23 March – Applicant information evening
07 April – Applications close
14 April – Shortlisted teams announced
26 April – Workshops begin
28 June – Competition showcase
Ideate Ireland open evening
An open evening event will take place at 17:00 on Wednesday 23 March 2022 with Bill McKiernan, Founder of Cybersource and the visionary behind IDEATE Ireland.
This event will be an opportunity for early-stage entrepreneurs to learn from someone who has been there and delivered in Silicon Valley.
The application process for Ideate Ireland will also be covered during this event.
