by Adam Crowther | Feb 26, 2021

As part of our Student Week, we put together a series of stories from our students. This week we caught up with some of our students to share their stories, which you can check out below:

Leonie Salewski / Certificate in International Business

What is your earliest childhood memory?

Playing with my older brother and sneaking into the living room at 5AM to watch TV! The best time!

What is your definition of happiness?

A roof over my head, food on the table and the people I love to be happy and healthy. I’m happy then ever I can, because life is the biggest present.

What motivates you to work hard?

My Grandma, my Mom and the people that showed me how I do NOT want to be. And the goals, where I see myself in some years. Also, I want to tell my kids one day that it is all worth it.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Would like to live where my family is. I think being for example at the beach is a privilege that I don’t want to have daily, because I would be afraid that it would get normal for me! I will not get tired of seeing the world.

What three interesting people (past or present) would you bring to a dinner party? Please explain why you have chosen these people?

My grandma (because she is one of the funniest and most wonderful people), Michelle Obama (because she is one of the most powerful women I know) and Ellen DeGeneres (I think I don’t need to explain why!)

Yanzhu SU / EDHEC Bachelor in Business Administration

Do you recall any stories that you have never forgotten? And why?

I chose to jump out of my comfort zone before the age of 20.

I chose to drop out of my Chinese university in order to study in my dream school in France. It took me two years to make it but it was worth it! My life is totally different now

What motivates you to work hard?

My self-esteem! I want to live a life that others will envy.
