Some students have being contacted recently via telephone by person(s) claiming to be from The Indian Embassy demanding payment to prevent deportation.

 

THIS IS ATTEMPTED FRAUD. The Embassy of India never asks for payments via telephone, post office or any other non official channels. All issues should be dealt with directly onsite at the Embassy and NOT over the phone.

 

If you receive one of these calls please DO NOT AGREE TO A PAYMENT. If you are still unsure, please go directly to the Embassy and speak with a staff member at the premises or contact the local Garda station.

 

Alternatively you can ask for advice from the Student Services Team in DBS (CH 4th Floor).
