As we approach our winter holidays, it's important to remember that while this time of year is joyous for many, it can also be challenging for some. Whether you're facing holiday stress, feeling isolated, or just needing someone to talk to, there are wellbeing services available to support you.
Important - DBS will be closed from the 20th of December at 5pm until the 2nd of January should you need support during this time, here are some helpful services that remain open and ready to assist over the Christmas period:
For all Emergencies Call 999 or 112:
-
Always call 112 or 999 if someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If the emergency is not life-threatening
If urgent medical attention is not needed, consider other options before calling 112 or 999.
For example:
-
go to your local emergency department using your own transport - arriving in an ambulance does not mean you'll be seen quicker
-
go to your local injury unit - for injuries that are not life-threatening
-
call your GP
-
talk to a pharmacist
