We’re excited to launch a brand new series of Student Leadership Workshops for 2025/26, designed exclusively for members of the Student Leadership Network at DBS. This includes our amazing Students’ Union, Sports Captains, Society Committee Leaders, Class Reps, and Peer Mentors.

These workshops are all about helping you develop the real-world graduate skills that will set you apart — as a student, a leader, and a future professional.

Whether you’re leading from the front or supporting from the side, these sessions are interactive, practical, and focused on personal and professional growth.

This Term’s 6 Core Workshops:

Workshop 1: Lead From Within: Self-Awareness & Personal Impact

Discover your leadership style, understand your strengths, and reflect on the kind of leader you want to be. This session builds confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Workshop 2: Speak Up: Communication, Influence & Public Speaking

Master the art of speaking clearly, confidently, and persuasively. We’ll work on storytelling, elevator pitches, and real-world speaking situations you’ll actually face.

Workshop 3: Make It Happen: Initiative, Project Management & Leadership in Action

Learn how to take an idea and make it happen — from planning events to managing teams. You’ll leave with tools for time management, delegation, and problem-solving.

Workshop 4: Team Up: Collaboration, Conflict & Leading Diverse Groups

Great leaders build great teams. This workshop explores how to motivate, support, and lead others — especially across different backgrounds, cultures, and personalities.

Workshop 5: Think It Through: Decision Making, Critical Thinking & Ethics

Leadership is full of tricky moments. Learn how to make smart, ethical decisions and navigate grey areas through discussion, dilemmas, and peer-led problem-solving.

Workshop 6: Future Ready: Your Leadership Legacy & Career Identity

Turn your leadership experience into something that shines on your CV and in interviews. Build your personal brand and learn how to articulate your value as a future graduate.
